Just because *I* have an ongoing love affair with the stories and poems that I first encountered as a child doesn't mean that everyone else remembers these tales, or even heard them in the first place. To that end, this space will be devoted to retelling those stories and poems to refresh (or introduce) readers to the ideas that I'm gleefully running amok with.
Most people are probably aware that many of the classic children's stories have been retold so many times that that is no one "right" version. I'll try to acknowledge if any of my retellings (whether retold by me or found on the internet) have more than one version, but there are no guarentees.

Little Miss Muffet The Little Red Hen. Chicken Little. Three Blind Mice.

Keep in mind that nursery rhymes and fairy tales, being a part of an oral tradition, often have many different versions.

Nursery rhymes in particular have sometimes been put under the scrutiny of academic research that says nursery rhymes were not meant for children, but are actually political satires/riddle games/parts of lost ballads. Some of these claims seem a little far-fetched and others seem very reasonable. I personally think that some of the political satire theory is correct but that once it was acknowledged people went a little crazy with it, and have started trying to fit rhymes into every political situation regardless of the time period the rhyme is thought to have begun in. The resources that I use to reference the stories and rhymes included in the comic can be found on my resources page.

Also, I have recently begun compiling a list of novels and short stories where the author retold an old fairy tale, often with a twist. This list can also be found on the resources page.
